16:00 Today HMS Wave Knight came alongside the Arcadia, 400 yards away. Its purpose is to refuel RN ships. Recently it took part in the NATO operation in Libya.
Packing for our overland to India. Leaving ship at 08:10 tomorrow for tour of Dubai and then moving to airport to fly to New Delhi, where we will be staying at the Leela Kimpinski hotel (Google it!).
With any luck there will be some speedy broadband so that we can download a few pictures – so keep in touch with our blog. We hope it has been of interest to you all. We’ve enjoyed doing it so far.
Our first leg of the Grand Odyssey is now over – and it has been great.
Both of us dreamt of Inca last night – probably because she too is on the move. Thank you, Angela and John for looking after her and for Giles, Lorraine and family for your temporary care of her this weekend.
Inca safely delivered to Lorraine & Giles, I can assure you she is not in the least distressed she & Maya were delighted to see each other.
