Taj Mahal and Jaipur
We were able to revisit the Taj Mahal at dawn and, as expected, it was again wonderful.
We then jumped on the coach for the pink city of Jaipur along a new dual carriageway (which didn’t seem to bother the pedestrians and holy cows).
We arrived at the third of our most fantastic hotels, the Uberois Rajvilas, in Jaipur. It is based on the Raj and the bathrooms are glorious.
The Maharajahs pink fort in this pink city was a good experience to complete this part of our Indian adventure and was thoroughly enjoyed. There is insufficient time to take advantage of the hotel before we leave at 07:30 in the morning to catch our internal flight to Mumbai.
The Taj Mahal looks great, you look very happy! I'd like to see it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Mum! Have a great day...
The description of your journey to Agra brought back many memories of our experiences on the road. In fact our driver was the amazing Mr Singh as well! Enjoy the Mombai experience, it is a great city of contrasts. Enjoy your birthday Jane. Jean and Brian x
ReplyDeleteLovely pics again. I especially like the expressions on those blokes with the turbans' faces! The dawn light on the taj mahal looks amazing. Happy birthday for tomorrow... or today for you I suppose x
