Cairo is chaotic and strewn with litter, unfinished houses and assorted detritus. Hope the recent revolution will result in the country being loved a bit more.
Ashley was surprised at the intensity of the pedlars who pester you as soon as you arrive at Giza. We were told to ignore them at all times but, being British, felt that we needed to say no thank you. Even soldiers demand money to have their photograph taken with you.
However, a fantastically interesting day underlining the massive difference in cultures.
